the body knows what it requires; listen to it —
not the cravings of the mind but the needs of the body —
let it guide you into well-being. yung pueblo
Yoga Therapy is a holistic approach to mental, physical and spiritual wellbeing. It is a practice that invites exploration into the places within you that hold wisdom and truth.
Pain invites a tendency to run and hide from truth, to try anything that numbs and provides relief from suffering. When ignored, it can become lodged in the physical, energetic, psycho-emotional, intuitive and spiritual layers of our being, leading to disharmony and imbalance, including sadness, loneliness, anxiety, stress, body aches and discomfort.
My job as a Yoga Therapist is to hold a safe, compassionate and loving space for the gradual awakening of your whole being. In this space you are welcomed to witness and explore what is present at your own pace, and to learn to listen to your innate wisdom. Together we will create a personalized wellness plan that meets you exactly where you are, using a number of tools including yoga poses, breathwork, meditation, yoga nidra, reiki, somatic movement, philosophy, subtle bodywork, aromatherapy and more.
Yoga Therapy is……
a unique model of health addressing every aspect of life rather than considering each body part or system separately.
a safe way of working with the natural capacity of your body and mind to optimize well being.
a practice that complements and augments allopathic medicine and psychotherapy
Yoga Therapy can help with a wide range of concerns including pain, neurologic issues, mental health and healthy aging. No yoga experience is necessary.
